What we ask for, and why
This is our privacy policy. It says what we collect when you apply, enquire or contact us, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do.
Who we are
This website and the training programme are run by the International Affiliated Care Givers Training Program, at Royal Clinic, 52 Oyo Road, Mokola Hill, Ibadan. We decide what happens to the details you send us. How to reach us about them is at the end of this page.
The application form
You apply through a Google Form on the application page. It asks for your full name and phone number, and, if you choose to give them, your email address, your highest level of education, your years of caregiving experience, and why you are interested in becoming a caregiver with us. Google holds those responses; this website keeps no copy of your answers. We read them so we can match your application when you message us, which is the whole purpose of the form.
The partnerships enquiry form
The enquiry form on the home page asks for four things: your name, your company email address, which kind of organisation you are, and your message. It is for organisations rather than individuals. When you send it, our server passes it through Cloudflare's email service to our inbox, and keeps no copy. To stop automated floods, it looks at your internet (IP) address to allow only a few enquiries a minute from one connection; our own code does not store that address. Cloudflare keeps its own technical records of each enquiry sent to the form.
WhatsApp, calls and email
If you message us on WhatsApp, we see your number, your WhatsApp profile and what you send; WhatsApp, which is part of Meta, carries the chat. If you ring our calls line, we see your number. If you email us, your message reaches our inbox through Cloudflare's email routing, and our inbox is provided by Google.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your details to talk with you about the programme or a partnership, and about your application. The legal basis is your consent: you choose to send them, and you can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete them. The one exception is the one-minute check on the enquiry form, which we do to protect it from abuse; that is our legitimate interest.
Who else handles it
Three companies handle your details for us: Google (the application form and our email inbox), Cloudflare (this website's hosting, the delivery of email to us, and the count described below) and WhatsApp, part of Meta (our chats). Each works under its own terms and privacy policy. All three are based outside Nigeria, and what they handle for us is stored or processed outside Nigeria.
How long we keep it
We keep your application, your enquiry and our messages with you for 6 months after our last contact with you, then delete our copy. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will. Once they are deleted, we can no longer show them to you or give you a copy. The count described below is kept for three months.
What you can ask us
You can ask us what details we hold about you and for a copy of them, to correct them, to delete them, to stop using them, or to give them to you in a form you can take elsewhere. Ask us in any of the ways below. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, at ndpc.gov.ng.
Cookies and counting
This site sets no cookies of its own. To know whether it is working, our own server counts three things: visits to the application page, taps on a WhatsApp button, and whether each partnership enquiry went through. Each count is a note of which of the three happened, on which page and when, kept for three months. The count keeps nothing that identifies you. Cloudflare, which hosts this site, records each visit, including your internet (IP) address and country. The little script the site has is its own and loads nothing from anyone else. The application page shows Google's form inside a frame, and Google's own cookies and terms apply inside that frame — that part is theirs, not ours, and we cannot change what happens inside it.
Accessibility
We built this site to be usable with a keyboard and a screen reader, and we test it for both. The application form is provided by Google, and we can't change how it works. If it gives you any trouble, message us on WhatsApp and we will take your application there.
How to reach us about your details
Message us on WhatsApp, write to info@iacaregiver.com, or come to the address below. If you want us to delete something you have sent us, say so and we will.
